The Restylane® Collection

Restylane® dermal fillers enhance the appearance of your facial skin using gel fillers made with hyaluronic acid. Whether you have thinner skin with fine lines or thicker skin needing a boost of hydration and volume, hyaluronic acid-based fillers integrate easily into your tissues, giving your skin a fresh, youthful glow.

The safe, medical-grade products in the Restylane® collection vary in density and formulation, so we will choose the product that best matches your aesthetic goals. Each treatment is fully customized to hydrate your skin by adding volume to areas with prominent wrinkles, folds, or hollowing.

Candidates for Restylane®

If you have noticed your face is showing early signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and volume loss, you may be an ideal candidate for Restylane® injections. An age-defying, FDA-approved treatment, dermal fillers give your face a more plump, youthful contour.

The ideal candidates for treatment meet the following qualifications:

  • No active outbreak of cold sores or taking preventative medication
  • Able to avoid taking vitamin E supplements in high doses, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, or St. John’s Wart before treatment

Dr. Gigena will review your medical history during your consultation to ensure the treatment will be safe and comfortable while delivering the flawless results you desire.

What to Expect

Treatment

After carefully planning the placement of your Restylane® injections, Dr. Gigena will cleanse the site and apply a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area. He will inject the skin with Restylane® using a fine needle to smooth out lines on the face and add moisture and plumpness to your facial features. The entire procedure takes between 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of areas to treat. After your treatment, you will see immediately noticeable results, where your skin looks youthful and radiant again.

Recovery

Hyaluronic acid gel-based fillers require no recovery or downtime. After treatment, you may experience some bruising, swelling, and redness; however, Restylane® fillers typically do not cause discomfort, so pain medication is not required. While you may experience some tenderness in the injection site for the first 24 to 48 hours, most patients resume daily activities immediately after treatment. You will see noticeable results after your treatment that continue improving as the filler integrates with your tissues.
